  • I've been at Mount Sinai for 7 years now. When God led me to Mount Sinai I questioned him every day for the first year because I didn't understand why or how people of God could be so different from the stereotypical christian I had created in my mind. As a young adult, my experience isn't like many of the other young adults that grew up in the church. I have no biological family there but now I thank God for sending me to Mount Sinai to give me the spiritual family I was dying for. It obviously hasn't been a cake walk, but if you are serious about your faith you learn to appreciate the difficult encounters you experience with people of God and those who don't know Him. What I appreciate most is the love I feel from my pastor. He is serious about giving us meat and not just milk. We all want to feel good and hear the gospel about prosperity, but he also gives us the truth. In addition to that he attends everyone's college graduation, all the kid's basketball and soccer games, and he is always praying of the families of members of the church. I can't speak for everyone but I love the personal experience I have received at Mount Sinai and I am so thankful to God for that.
